Harrisburg is the capital city of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the United States, and the county seat of Dauphin County. Do some cultural sightseeing at Antietam National Battlefield and Gettysburg Museum & Visitor Center. Head to Kitchen Kettle Village and The Lion Potter of Gettysburgfor plenty of shopping. Explore Harrisburg's surroundings by going to Gettysburg (Shriver House Museum, Gettysburg Museum of History, & more), Longwood Gardens (in Kennett Square) and Stroud Preserve (in West Chester). Pack the 10th (Sun) with family-friendly diversions at Hersheypark. There's still lots to do: look for all kinds of wild species at Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, explore the striking landscape at Indian Echo Caverns, get some jogging in at Millbrook Marsh Nature Center, and take an in-depth tour of Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library.
