City of Angels

Surrounded by mountain ranges, forests, valleys, beaches, and deserts, the metropolitan area of Los Angeles is home to over 17 million people.
Visit Hollywood Walk of Fame and Hollywood Forever Cemetery for their historical value. Take a break from the city and head to Venice Beach and Boardwalk and Temescal Gateway Park. Get out of town with these interesting Los Angeles side-trips: Devil's Punchbowl Natural Area and Nature Center (in Pearblossom), Pacific Marine Mammal Center (in Laguna Beach) and Anaheim (Oak Canyon Nature Center & Disneyland Park). There's still lots to do: see the sky in a new way at Griffith Observatory, head outdoors with Self Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine Temple, explore the landscape on two wheels at South Bay Bicycle Trail, and explore the wealth of natural beauty at Angeles National Forest.

The time zone changes from Eastern Standard Time to Pacific Standard Time, which is usually a -3 hour difference. When traveling from Richmond in June, plan for slightly colder days in Los Angeles, with highs around 79°F, while nights are about the same with lows around 62°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 29th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
