Hana — 4 nights

Hana is one of the most isolated communities in Hawaii, with a permanent population of just over 1,000 people.
Take a break from the city and head to Haleakala Crater and Epic Experience Maui. Visit Kahanu Garden and Huialoha Church for their historical value. Take a break from Hana with a short trip to Charles Lindbergh's Grave in Kipahulu, about 34 minutes away. Spend the 3rd (Thu) exploring the striking scenery along Hana Highway - Road to Hana. The adventure continues: kick back and relax at Wai'anapanapa State Park, view the masterpieces at Hana Coast Gallery, appreciate the history behind Fagan's Cross, and explore the different monuments and memorials at Wananalua Congregational Church.

Boston to Hana is an approximately 15-hour flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 5 hours traveling from Boston to Hana. Plan for much hotter temperatures traveling from Boston in November, with highs in Hana at 84°F and lows at 68°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Sun) to allow enough time to fly to Lahaina.

Crown Jewel of Maui

Once the booming capital of the Hawaiian Kingdom, the tropical paradise of Lahaina still remains one of Maui's top vacation attractions, providing both culture and recreation.
Popular historic sites such as Saint Theresa Roman Catholic Church and Old Lahaina Courthouse are in your itinerary. Get a sense of the local culture at Lahaina Front Street and Karen Lei's Gallery. Venture out of the city with trips to Wailuku (Iao Valley & Hale Ho'ike'ike at the Bailey House), Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center (in Makawao) and Moana Glass by Ryan Staub (in Kahului). There's much more to do: see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour, get engrossed in the history at Baldwin Home Museum, kick your exploration up a notch at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, and enjoy the sand and surf at D.T. Fleming Park.

You can fly from Hana to Lahaina in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of taxi and bus. In November, daytime highs in Lahaina are 81°F, while nighttime lows are 71°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 14th (Mon) so you can catch the flight back home.
