A small resort town with a year-round population of just 3,000, Provincetown draws nearly 60,000 annual visitors with its scenic beaches, art colonies, galleries, theaters, and shops.
Museum-lovers will get to explore Pilgrim Monument & Provincetown Museum and Provincetown Art Association and Museum. Escape the urban bustle at Cape Cod National Seashore and Race Point Beach. Step out of Provincetown with an excursion to Nauset Beach in Orleans--about 48 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: kick back and relax at Herring Cove Beach, admire the masterpieces at Provincetown Town Hall, don't miss a visit to Commercial Street, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Long Point.

You can ride a ferry from Boston to Provincetown in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or drive. In August in Provincetown, expect temperatures between 78°F during the day and 62°F at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 9th (Fri) early enough to go by car to Falmouth.
