With much of Culebra a nature refuge, the tropical island has been protected from overdevelopment, chain hotels, and the cruise set.
On your second day here, kick back and relax at Brava Beach, then enjoy the sand and surf at Melones Beach, and then kick back and relax at Playa Punta Soldado Beach.

Traveling by combination of car and ferry from Luquillo to Culebra takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly. In July in Culebra, expect temperatures between 90°F during the day and 80°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 13th (Mon) to allow enough time to travel to Isla de Vieques.
