A seaside playground in the Caribbean, Rincon was a small agricultural and fishing town until it hosted the 1968 World Surfing Championship.
Start off your visit on the 3rd (Mon): identify plant and animal life at Salt Flats and Wildlife Refuge. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 4th (Tue): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Church of Porta Coeli, stroll through Survival Beach, and then enjoy the sea views from El Faro Park.

New York City, USA to Rincon is an approximately 5.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight; or do a combination of flight and car. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from New York City to Rincon. Traveling from New York City in June, things will get somewhat warmer in Rincon: highs are around 89°F and lows about 81°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 5th (Wed) early enough to drive to Ponce.

Ponce is both a city and a municipality in the southern part of Puerto Rico. On the 6th (Thu), take in the spiritual surroundings of Pozo de la Virgen Sabana Grande, then enjoy the sand and surf at Playa Rosada, then get engrossed in the history at Ponce History Museum, and finally admire the striking features of Casa Wiechers-Villaronga. Keep things going the next day: look for all kinds of wild species at Toro Negro Reserve, then steep yourself in history at Casa Canales, and then explore and take pictures at Catholic University of Puerto Rico.

Traveling by car from Rincon to Ponce takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and shuttle. Prepare for slightly colder weather when traveling from Rincon in June: high temperatures in Ponce hover around 83°F and lows are around 76°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 7th (Fri) to allow time to drive to Fajardo.
