Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
Chihuly Garden and Glass and LeMay - America's Car Museum will appeal to museum buffs. Head to Pioneer Square and Pike Place Marketfor some retail therapy. Get out of town with these interesting Seattle side-trips: Snoqualmie Falls (in Snoqualmie), Point No Point Lighthouse & Park (in Hansville) and Fort Worden State Park (in Port Townsend). And it doesn't end there: contemplate the waterfront views at Hiram M. Chittenden Locks, admire the sheer force of Murhut Falls, take an in-depth tour of Fort Nisqually Living History Museum, and see the interesting displays at The Museum of Flight.

In September, plan for daily highs up to 72°F, and evening lows to 56°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 30th (Mon) so you can travel back home.
