Although urban sprawl remains synonymous with Houston, most of the city's tourist attractions lie within the relatively small downtown area, surrounded by diverse neighborhoods housing the nation's biggest African-American, Asian-American, and Latino communities.
On the 11th (Fri), get in on the family fun at Kemah Boardwalk and then see the interesting displays at Space Center Houston. On the next day, engage your brain at The Houston Museum of Natural Science, then test your problem-solving skills at That Escape Place, and then admire the natural beauty at Hermann Park's Japanese Garden.
