Kick off your visit on the 1st (Thu): get curious at U.S. Space and Rocket Center and then make a trip to Maple Hill Cemetery. Get a sense of the local culture at Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church and The F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald Museum. Explore Montgomery's surroundings by going to Priester's Pecans (in Fort Deposit) and Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site (in Tuskegee Institute). There's still lots to do: don't miss a visit to Civil Rights Memorial Center, take an in-depth tour of Rosa Parks Museum, get lost in a book at Alabama Department of Archives and History, and pause for some photo ops at Hank Williams Statue.

Gulf Shores

Gulf Shores is a resort city in Baldwin County, Alabama, United States. You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Gulf State Park and Gulf State Park Fishing Pier. For shopping fun, head to Tanger Outlets Foley or Chocolate Corner. Take a break from Gulf Shores with a short trip to Fort Morgan State Historic Site in Fort Morgan, about 34 minutes away.
