Ketchikan

The narrow city of Ketchikan clings to the bluffs that form Revillagigedo Island's southwestern shore.
Visiting Deer Mountain Trail and Zipline will get you outdoors. Totem Bight State Historical Park and Creek Street are good opportunities to explore the local culture. The City and Borough of Sitka, formerly Novo-Arkhangelsk, or New Archangel under Russian rule, is a unified city-borough located on Baranof Island and the southern half of Chichagof Island in the Alexander Archipelago of the Pacific Ocean (part of the Alaska Panhandle), in the U.S. On the 19th (Fri), see the interesting displays at Sheldon Jackson Museum, then look for all kinds of wild species at Alaska Raptor Center, and then get to know the fascinating history of Sitka National Historic Park/Totem Park.

Take a break from the city and head to Tracy Arm Fjord and Dolphin & Whale Watching. There's still lots to do: explore the striking landscape at Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center and take in the dramatic scenery at Nugget Falls.

Homer is a city located in Kenai Peninsula Borough in the U.S. On the 26th (Fri), hit the best photo ops around with an inspiring photography tour and then grab your bike and head to Homer Spit. Here are some ideas for day two: admire the majestic nature at Kachemak Bay State Park.
