Start off your visit on the 2nd (Mon): explore the wealth of natural beauty at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. On the 3rd (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: enjoy some diversion at Gunfighter Canyon, then admire the engineering at Glen Canyon Dam Overlook, and then take in the dramatic natural features at Rainbow Bridge National Monument.

Step off the beaten path and head to Historic Old Town Cottonwood and Doe Mountain Trail. Visiting Boynton Canyon Trail and West Fork Oak Creek Trail will get you outdoors. Take a break from Sedona with a short trip to Pillsbury Wine Company North in Cottonwood, about 46 minutes away. There's much more to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Broken Arrow Trail, soar above the sights with a balloon tour, get a bird's-eye view with Air Tours, and look for gifts at Kachina House.

Traveling from Grand Canyon National Park in March, you will find days in Sedona are a bit warmer (22°C), and nights are much warmer (8°C).
