Bel Air

— 13 nights
The town of Bel Air is the county seat of Harford County, Maryland. Bring the kids along to Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park and Baugher's. Change things up with these side-trips from Bel Air: Northern Central Railway (in New Freedom), Fire Museum of Maryland (in Lutherville) and Rock Hall (Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge & Ferry Park). There's still lots to do: grab your bike and head to Ma and Pa Trail, contemplate the waterfront views at Gunpowder Falls State Park, make a trip to Tudor Hall, and admire the majestic nature at Rocks State Park.

To see maps, where to stay, ratings, and more tourist information, you can read our Bel Air trip planner.

Sanford to Bel Air is an approximately 9-hour combination of car and flight. You can also do a combination of car and flight; or drive. Traveling from Sanford in August, things will get a bit cooler in Bel Air: highs are around 82°F and lows about 66°F. You'll set off for home on the 14th (Fri).
