Bethesda — 13 nights

Bethesda is a census-designated place in southern Montgomery County, Maryland, United States, located just northwest of the U.S. capital of Washington, D.C. It takes its name from a local church, the Bethesda Meeting House (1820, rebuilt 1849), which in turn took its name from Jerusalem's Pool of Bethesda. Change things up with these side-trips from Bethesda: Gettysburg (Sachs Covered Bridge, Horseback Riding Tours, &more), Mister Ed's Elephant Museum (in Orrtanna) and Harpers Ferry National Historical Park (in Harpers Ferry). Spend the 15th (Mon) exploring nature at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. And it doesn't end there: examine the collection at Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, wander the wide-open spaces of Rocking S Ranch, take in the exciting artwork at Waverly Street Gallery, and get a new perspective on things with Boat Tours & Water Sports.

To find more things to do, ratings, reviews, and more tourist information, read Bethesda day trip website.
