Get in touch with nature at Elephant Seal Rookery and Fiscalini Ranch Preserve. Get a sense of the local culture at Hearst Castle and Peachy Canyon Winery. Santa Maria

Santa Maria is a city near the Southern California coast in Santa Barbara County. On the 7th (Wed), do a tasting at Rancho Sisquoc Winery, learn about winemaking at Foxen Vineyard & Winery, then learn about winemaking at Rusack Vineyards, and finally tour the pleasant surroundings at Hans Christian Andersen Park. Santa Barbara

Nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the Santa Ynez Mountains, Santa Barbara is a solid vacation destination with its wide beaches, renowned wineries, and some of California's finest shopping and dining options.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Old Mission Santa Barbara and Grassini Family Vineyards. Take a break from the city and head to State Street Underpass and Butterfly Beach. Venture out of the city with trips to Carpenteria Bluffs Nature Preserve (in Carpinteria) and Sunstone Vineyards & Winery (in Santa Ynez). Dedicate the 10th (Sat) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area.
