Cheyenne is the capital and most populous city of the US state of Wyoming and the county seat of Laramie County. Museum-lovers will get to explore Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum and Wyoming State Museum. Do some cultural sightseeing at Cheyenne Depot Museum and Abbey of St. Walburga. Venture out of the city with trips to Laramie (Vedauwoo, Medicine Bow National Forest, & more) and Ames Monument (in Buford). There's still lots to do: admire the striking features of Historic Governors' Mansion, appreciate the history behind Cheyenne Big Boots, explore the different monuments and memorials at Lakeview Cemetery, and look for gifts at The Wrangler.

Although urban sprawl remains synonymous with Houston, most of the city's tourist attractions lie within the relatively small downtown area, surrounded by diverse neighborhoods housing the nation's biggest African-American, Asian-American, and Latino communities.
Visit Washington-on-the-Brazos and Bonfire Memorial for their historical value. Museum-lovers will get to explore Blue Bell Creameries and The Houston Museum of Natural Science. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Houston: Battleship Texas State Historic Site (in La Porte), Texas Prison Museum (in Huntsville) and Messina Hof Winery (in Bryan).
