Eureka is the principal city and county seat of Humboldt County in the Redwood Empire region of California. Start off your visit on the 19th (Wed): appreciate the history behind Trinidad Memorial and Memorial Lighthouse, then immerse yourself in nature at Patrick's Point State Park, and then cruise along Humboldt Redwoods State Park. On the next day, kick back and relax at Trinidad State Beach, then look for all kinds of wild species at Arcata Community Forest, and then sample the tasty concoctions at Lost Coast Brewery Taproom.
