Eureka is the principal city and county seat of Humboldt County in the Redwood Empire region of California. Bring the kids along to Redwood National Park and Trees of Mystery. Venture out of the city with trips to Crescent City (Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park & Stout Grove), Humboldt Redwoods State Park (in Weott) and Orick (Newton B. Drury Scenic Pkwy & Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park). The adventure continues: explore and take pictures at Avenue of the Giants, admire the landmark architecture of Carson Mansion, make a trip to Old Town Eureka, and stroll around Sequoia Park.
