Lafayette is a city located along the Vermilion River in southwestern Louisiana. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Acadiana Mall and Acadian Village. Do your shopping at Candyland Cottage & Ice Cream Shoppe and Sans Souci Fine Crafts Gallery. Venture out of the city with trips to Baton Rouge (Mall of Louisiana & Mike the Tiger's Habitat) and Tanger Outlets Gonzales (in Gonzales). There's still lots to do: get to know the fascinating history of Vermilionville, don't miss a visit to Le Vieux Village de Poste des Opelousas, steep yourself in history at Alexandre Mouton House, and appreciate the history behind Urns of Justice.

Step off the beaten path and head to Brickell City Center and Bal Harbour Shops. We've included these beaches for you: Surfside Beach and Haulover Beach Park. Explore Miami's surroundings by going to Town Center at Boca Raton (in Boca Raton), Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park (in Dania Beach) and Fort Lauderdale (Fort Lauderdale Beach Park & Las Olas Beach).
