The first national park east of the Mississippi River, Acadia National Park draws visitors with its rugged landscape of ocean shoreline, low-slung granite mountains, dense woodlands, and pristine lakes.
Escape the urban bustle at Cadillac Mountain and Park Loop Road. There's still lots to do: trek along Champlain Mountain & Beehive Loop Trail, tour the pleasant surroundings at Carriage Roads, contemplate the waterfront views at Jordan Pond Path Trailhead, and kick back and relax at Sand Beach.
