Once the booming capital of the Hawaiian Kingdom, the tropical paradise of Lahaina still remains one of Maui's top vacation attractions, providing both culture and recreation.
Explore Lahaina's surroundings by going to Wailuku (Iao Valley & Maui Tropical Plantation), Helicopter Tours (in Kahului) and Wailea (Wailea Beach, Keawakapu Beach, &more). The adventure continues: stroll through Ka'anapali Beach, experience rural life at Punakea Palms, kick back and relax at Kapalua Beach, and pause for some serene contemplation at Maria Lanakila Catholic Church.

In February, Lahaina is much warmer than Toronto - with highs of 30°C and lows of 22°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 1st (Wed) so you can catch the flight to Hana.

Hana is one of the most isolated communities in Hawaii, with a permanent population of just over 1,000 people.
Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Hana: Haleakala National Park (Haleakala Observatories, Haleakala Crater, &more) and Charles Lindbergh's Grave (in Kipahulu). Spend the 3rd (Fri) exploring the striking scenery along Hana Highway - Road to Hana. There's still lots to do: immerse yourself in nature at Wai'anapanapa State Park, enjoy the sand and surf at Red Sand Beach - Kaihalulu Beach, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kahanu Garden, and don't miss a visit to Kalaloa Point.

You can fly from Lahaina to Hana in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus and taxi. In March, daily temperatures in Hana can reach 32°C, while at night they dip to 21°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 7th (Tue) to allow time to travel back home.
