Once the booming capital of the Hawaiian Kingdom, the tropical paradise of Lahaina still remains one of Maui's top vacation attractions, providing both culture and recreation.
Explore Lahaina's surroundings by going to Surfing Goat Dairy (in Kula), Wailuku (Maui Tropical Plantation, Hale Ho'ike'ike at the Bailey House, &more) and Helicopter Tours (in Kahului). The adventure continues: tour the pleasant surroundings at Ka'anapali Beach, stroll around Lahaina Banyan Court, relax and rejuvenate at Ho'omana Spa Maui, and get outside with Outdoor Activities.

Sheridan to Lahaina is an approximately 15.5-hour combination of car and flight. You can also do a combination of car and flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 3 hours traveling from Sheridan to Lahaina. While traveling from Sheridan, expect a bit warmer days and much warmer nights in Lahaina, ranging from highs of 81°F to lows of 70°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 23rd (Mon) to allow time to fly to Hana.

Hana — 6 nights

Hana is one of the most isolated communities in Hawaii, with a permanent population of just over 1,000 people.
Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Hana: Charles Lindbergh's Grave (in Kipahulu) and Haleakala National Park (Haleakala Crater & Sliding Sands Trail). Spend the 24th (Tue) exploring the striking scenery along Hana Highway - Road to Hana. There's still lots to do: kick back and relax at Wai'anapanapa State Park, take in the spiritual surroundings of Kahanu Garden, view the masterpieces at Hana Coast Gallery, and stroll through Red Sand Beach - Kaihalulu Beach.

Fly from Lahaina to Hana in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus and taxi. In May, daytime highs in Hana are 86°F, while nighttime lows are 68°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 29th (Sun) so you can travel back home.
