Frankenmuth — 1 night

Frankenmuth is a city in Saginaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. On the 19th (Wed), kick your exploration up a notch at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, then look for gifts at Bronner's Christmas Wonderland, then brush up on your military savvy at Michigan Heroes Museum, and finally get a new perspective on things with Boat Tours & Water Sports.

Grand Rapids — 2 nights

Furniture City

The second largest city in Michigan and a hub of furniture manufacturing, Grand Rapids bears the nickname "Furniture City." However, the destination's original name came from the rapids of the Grand River that once ran through the downtown area.
On the 20th (Thu), take in nature's colorful creations at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, examine the collection at Gerald R. Ford Museum, and then kick back and relax at Oval Beach. On the 21st (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: kick back and relax at Holland State Park Beach, then relax in the rural setting at Critter Barn, then examine the collection at Gilmore Car Museum, and finally hike along Cascade Peace Park.

Expect a bit cooler weather when traveling from Traverse City in July: highs in Munising hover around 27°C, while lows dip to 15°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 27th (Thu) so you can travel to Mackinac Island.

Dearborn — 2 nights

Dearborn sits as part of the Detroit metropolitan area and was the home of Henry Ford.
Start off your visit on the 30th (Sun): steep yourself in history at Motown Museum, then contemplate the long history of The Ford Piquette Avenue Plant, then admire the masterpieces at Detroit Institute of Arts, and finally take in the waterfront at Detroit RiverFront.
