Portsmouth is a city in Rockingham County, New Hampshire, in the United States. On the 7th (Mon), contemplate the long history of Rundlet-May House. On your second day here, kick back and relax at Hampton Beach State Park, stroll the grounds of St. John's Episcopal Church, then take an in-depth tour of Strawbery Banke Museum, and finally stop by The Salt Cellar.

North Conway combines colonial New England architecture with outlet shops selling goods from some of the world's most recognizable brands, all set amid the scenery of the White Mountains.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Jackson Art Studio & Gallery and Zeb's General Store. Visiting Kancamagus Highway and White Mountain National Forest will get you outdoors. Take a break from North Conway with a short trip to Beaver Brook Falls Natural Area in Colebrook, about 1h 50 min away. On the 10th (Thu), spend an exhilarating day on the slopes at Cranmore Mountain Resort. There's still lots to do: take in the dramatic scenery at Diana's Baths, look and learn at Mount Washington Observatory Weather Discovery Center, take in the awesome beauty at Rocky Gorge, and pause for some serene contemplation at The Little White Church.

You can drive from Portsmouth to North Conway in 2 hours. Another option is to take a bus. In January, North Conway is a bit warmer than Portsmouth - with highs of 41°F and lows of 24°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 13th (Sun) to allow enough time to drive to Lincoln.

Flume Gorge and The Gallery at WREN are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Do your shopping at Harman's Cheese & Country Store and Tanger Outlets Tilton. Venture out of the city with trips to Paradise Point Nature Center (in Hebron), just L Modern Antiques (in Littleton) and Sugar Hill Historical Museum (in Sugar Hill). On the 15th (Tue), spend an exhilarating day on the slopes at Loon Mountain Resort. The adventure continues: look for all kinds of wild species at Lost River Gorge and Boulder Caves, do a tasting at Hermit Woods Winery, and get in on the family fun at Ice Castles.

Drive from North Conway to Lincoln in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In January, Lincoln is little chillier than North Conway - with highs of 29°F and lows of 11°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Thu) so you can travel to Peterborough.
