New York City is known for museums, nightlife, and shopping. Your plan includes some of its best attractions: take in the pleasant sights at Central Park, make a trip to Empire State Building, explore the world behind art at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and enjoy breathtaking views from Top of the Rock.

Philadelphia to New York City is an approximately 2-hour train ride. You can also drive; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 84°F in August, and nighttime lows around 71°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 13th (Fri) so you can travel to Jackson Hole.

The Jackson Hole valley is approximately 97 km (60 mi) long and 24 km (15 mi) wide, encompassing the town of Jackson, Teton Village, and the northern section of Grand Teton National Park.

Fly from New York City to Jackson Hole in 7 hours. Alternatively, you can drive. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 2 hours traveling from New York City to Jackson Hole. Traveling from New York City in August, expect nights in Jackson Hole to be cooler, around 43°F, while days are a bit cooler, around 78°F. On the 21st (Sat), you'll have the morning to explore before heading back home.
