City of Bridges

Known primarily for its steel-related heritage and 446 bridges, Pittsburgh sits at the confluence of the Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers, which meet to form the Ohio River.
Kids will enjoy Mount Washington and Duck Tours. Change things up with these side-trips from Pittsburgh: Round Hill Park (in Elizabeth), Living Treasures Animal Park (in Jones Mills) and Cockayne Farmstead (in Glen Dale). There's lots more to do: steep yourself in history at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, get in on the family fun at Kennywood Park, get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium, and explore the world behind art at The Andy Warhol Museum.

To find reviews, other places to visit, photos, and tourist information, read Pittsburgh trip site.

Sanford to Pittsburgh is an approximately 4-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train, bus, and subway. Plan for little chillier temperatures traveling from Sanford in July, with highs in Pittsburgh at 82°F and lows at 65°F.
