A big city with a small-town feel, Portland is home to the country's biggest rose test garden, perched on a hill overlooking downtown.

Do some cultural sightseeing at Pearl District and Alberta Street. Let the collections at Oregon Historical Society and Columbia Gorge Interpretive Center capture your imagination. Get out of town with these interesting Portland side-trips: Oswald West State Park (in Cannon Beach), Manzanita Beach (in Manzanita) and Corbett (Bridal Veil Falls, Latourell Falls, &more). And it doesn't end there: admire the natural beauty at International Rose Test Garden, take in the dramatic natural features at Beacon Rock, indulge in some personalized pampering at some of the best spas, and hike along Forest Park.
