A seaside playground in the Caribbean, Rincon was a small agricultural and fishing town until it hosted the 1968 World Surfing Championship.
Kick off your visit on the 24th (Wed): stroll through Playa Rompe Olas and then stroll through Crashboat Beach.

New York City, USA to Rincon is an approximately 5.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight; or do a combination of flight and car. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from New York City to Rincon. In April, Rincon is much warmer than New York City - with highs of 87°F and lows of 78°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 25th (Thu) early enough to go by car to Ponce.

Ponce is both a city and a municipality in the southern part of Puerto Rico. On the 26th (Fri), explore the world behind art at Museo de Arte de Ponce, take an in-depth tour of Fundacion Biblioteca Rafael Hernandez Colon, then see the interesting displays at Parque de Bombas, and finally take an in-depth tour of Museo Casa Armstrong - Poventud. On the 27th (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: shop like a local with Centro Cultural Carmen Sola de Pereira de Ponce, then examine the collection at El Museo Castillo Serralles, and then take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports.

You can drive from Rincon to Ponce in 1.5 hours. Another option is to do a combination of flight and shuttle. Plan for little chillier temperatures traveling from Rincon in April, with highs in Ponce at 82°F and lows at 71°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 27th (Sat) early enough to go by car to Fajardo.

Fajardo is a small city and municipality in Puerto Rico (U.S.) located in the east region of the island, bordering the Atlantic Ocean, north of Ceiba and east of Luquillo. Escape the urban bustle at Fishing Charters & Tours and Zipline. Change things up with these side-trips from Fajardo: El Yunque National Forest (Yokahu Observation Tower & La Mina Falls). There's still lots to do: stop by Monkey Threads, kick back and relax at Balneario Luquillo, take a memorable tour with Tours, and get a new perspective on things with Boat Tours & Water Sports.

Drive from Ponce to Fajardo in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a shuttle; or do a combination of car, flight, and shuttle. In April in Fajardo, expect temperatures between 85°F during the day and 75°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 30th (Tue) so you can ride a ferry to Isla de Vieques.

For sixty years until 2003, most of the Isla de Vieques was closed off to the public, with the US Navy using the island's beaches and surrounding waters for drills and testing of new military machinery, such as bombs.
Fortin Conde de Mirasol Museum and Siddhia Hutchinson Fine Art Gallery will appeal to museum buffs. Step out of the city life by going to Media Luna Beach and Secret Beach. There's lots more to do: take in the exciting artwork at Gallery Galleon, enjoy the sand and surf at La Chiva, tour the pleasant surroundings at Caracas Beach, and explore the activities along Sun Bay.

Traveling by ferry from Fajardo to Isla de Vieques takes 1.5 hours. In April, daily temperatures in Isla de Vieques can reach 85°F, while at night they dip to 75°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 4th (Sat) to allow time to travel to Culebra.

Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Brava Beach and Melones Beach. Visiting Carlos Rosario Beach and Playa Punta Soldado Beach will get you outdoors. And it doesn't end there: see the interesting displays at Museo Historico de Culebra, enjoy the sand and surf at Tamarindo Beach, step off the mainland to explore Culebrita Island, and stroll through Zoni Beach.
