On the 8th (Wed), learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at Erie Zoo, then stroll around Panama Rocks Scenic Park, and then try your luck at Presque Isle Downs and Casino. On your second day here, stroll around Presque Isle State Park.

A playground for America’s wealthy families, Lake George was nicknamed "Queen of the American Lakes." While these families often stayed in private country houses, a tourism industry built up around them in the early 20th century facilitated by two YMCAs.
Kick off your visit on the 18th (Sat): do a tasting at Adirondack Winery, then take in the awesome beauty at Prospect Mountain, then explore the activities along Lake George, and finally take a memorable tour with Tours. Keep things going the next day: look for gifts at Impressions of Saratoga, then immerse yourself in nature at Saratoga Spa State Park, then bet on a winner at Saratoga Race Course, and finally get engrossed in the history at The Fort William Henry Museum & Restoration.

Old Forge is a hamlet (and census-designated place) on New York State Route 28 in the town of Webb in Herkimer County, New York. Kick off your visit on the 20th (Mon): take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Bald Mountain, then get a new perspective on things with Raquette Lake Navigation Co, and then make a splash at Enchanted Forest Water Safari. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: stop by Old Forge Hardware and then stroll through McCauley Mountain.
