Attractions like Central Park and Statue of Liberty National Monument make great kid-friendly stops. Take a break from New York City with a short trip to Bronx Zoo in Bronx, about 36 minutes away. There's lots more to do: admire the masterpieces at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, go for a walk through Times Square, pause for some serene contemplation at St. Patrick's Cathedral, and enjoy breathtaking views from Empire State Building.

Traveling by flight from Dallas to New York City takes 6.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus.
