Friday Harbor, San Juan Island

The tiny town of Friday Harbor is the largest village on the San Juan Islands, and it fits within just 2.6 km (1 sq mi) of space.
Kick off your visit on the 1st (Sat): admire all the interesting features of Pelindaba Lavender Farm. On your second day here, take in the exciting artwork at Island Studios, then get up close to creatures of the deep with a dolphin and whale watching tour, and then see the interesting displays at The Whale Museum.

You can fly from Seattle to Friday Harbor in an hour. Alternatively, you can ride a ferry. Traveling from Seattle in June, expect Friday Harbor to be a bit cooler, temps between 69°F and 48°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 3rd (Mon) early enough to travel to Mount Rainier National Park.
