A tiny town with big tourist appeal, Pigeon Forge bills itself as the "Center of Fun in the Smokies." Just a short drive from the national park protecting the diverse plant and animal life of the Great Smoky Mountains, the town features numerous places to visit, such as bars, restaurants, cafes, theaters, and shops.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Zipline and Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster. Step out of the city life by going to Clingmans Dome and Blue Ridge Parkway. Step out of Pigeon Forge with an excursion to Cades Cove in Great Smoky Mountains National Park--about 1h 10 min away. There's still lots to do: sample the fine beverages at Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine, have some family-friendly fun at 7D Dark Ride Adventure, and take some stellar pictures from Gatlinburg SkyLift Park.
