A genuine cowboy city, Cody is famous for its nightly rodeos and its proximity to the protected wilderness areas of the world's first national park, now designated as one of the country's World Heritage Sites.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Chief Joseph Hwy and Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary. Escape the urban bustle at Beartooth Highway and The Buffalo Bill Reservoir. Take a break from Cody with a short trip to Lake Fork Trail in Red Lodge, about 1h 30 min away. There's still lots to do: admire the majestic nature at Buffalo Bill State Park, admire all the interesting features of Dead Indian Summit Overlook, learn about winemaking at Buffalo Jump Winery, LLC, and explore the world behind art at Whitney Gallery.
