Anaheim — 3 nights

Anaheim's major attractions are its world-famous Disney entertainment complex, sports teams, and convention center.
Visit Wayfarers Chapel and Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum for their historical value. Pack the 13th (Thu) with family-friendly diversions at Disneyland Park. Traveling from St. Helena in October, you will find days in Portland are slightly colder (66°F), and nights are about the same (49°F). Cap off your sightseeing on the 22nd (Sat) early enough to catch the flight to Seattle.

Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
Pioneer Square and Bruce Lee Grave Site will appeal to history buffs. There's lots more to do: pick up some local products at Pike Place Market, stroll the grounds of Lake View Cemetery, get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Seattle Aquarium, and stop by Glasshouse Studio.

Getting from Portland to Seattle by flight takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. In October, daytime highs in Seattle are 63°F, while nighttime lows are 50°F. You will have some time to spend on the 25th (Tue) before leaving for home.
