Munising is a city on the southern shore of Lake Superior on the Upper Peninsula of the U.S. Step out of the city life by going to Chapel Rock and Beach and Grand Island. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Sand Point Beach and Bridal Veil Falls. Spend the 12th (Fri) exploring nature at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. It doesn't end there: admire the sheer force of Tannery Falls and view the masterpieces at UP-Scale Art.

Manistique
Manistique, formerly Monistique, is the only incorporated city in and the county seat of Schoolcraft County of the U.S. Visiting Seney National Wildlife Refuge and The Manistique Boardwalk and River Walk will get you outdoors. Get some historical perspective at Fayette Historic State Park and Seul Choix Point Lighthouse. Step out of Manistique to go to Garden and see Historical Village Fayette Park, which is approximately 38 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: explore the activities along Kitch-Iti-Kipi (The Big Spring), do a tasting at Mackinaw Trail Winery, explore the striking landscape at Palms Book State Park, and take in the exciting artwork at Lake Effect Art Gallery.

Copper Harbor is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in northeastern Keweenaw County in the U.S. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Fort Wilkins State Park and Quincy Mine. Get outdoors at Estivant Pines Nature Sanctuary and Keweenaw National Historical Park. Venture out of the city with trips to Mineral Museum of Michigan (in Houghton), McLain State Park (in Hancock) and Copper World (in Calumet). There's still lots to do: visit a coastal fixture at Eagle Harbor Lighthouse and Museums.
