The capital of the United States, the District of Columbia contains the lion's share of the country's most treasured monuments, memorials, and public museums.
Do some cultural sightseeing at National Air and Space Museum and The National Archives Museum. Museum-lovers will get to explore National Gallery of Art and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Step out of Washington DC to go to Triangle and see National Museum of the Marine Corps, which is approximately 1h 10 min away. The adventure continues: get a new perspective on nature at Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, appreciate the history behind Lincoln Memorial, steep yourself in history at Belmont-Paul Women's Equality National Monument House and Museum, and take an in-depth tour of Newseum.

Museum-lovers will appreciate Brandywine River Museum of Art and Independence Hall. Do some cultural sightseeing at Philadelphia Museum of Art and Valley Forge National Historical Park. Take a break from Philadelphia with a short trip to Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library in Winterthur, about 46 minutes away.
