Port Angeles is a city in and the county seat of Clallam County, Washington, United States. Visiting Hurricane Ridge and Second Beach Trail will get you outdoors. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Sol Duc Falls and Crescent Lake. When in Port Angeles, make a side trip to see Olympic National Park in Olympic National Park, approximately 58 minutes away. There's lots more to do: look for all kinds of wild species at Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge, explore and take pictures at B&B Family Farm, and take in the waterfront at Port Angeles City Pier.

Forks is a city in Clallam County, Washington, United States. Step off the beaten path and head to Second Beach and Hoh Rain Forest Visitor Center. Visiting Rialto Beach and Cape Flattery Trail will get you outdoors. Step out of Forks to go to Olympic National Park and see Ruby Beach, which is approximately 48 minutes away. There's still lots to do: kick back and relax at Third Beach and see the interesting displays at John's Beachcombing Museum.

The tiny town of Friday Harbor is the largest village on the San Juan Islands, and it fits within just 2.6 km (1 sq mi) of space.
