Lake George

— 5 nights

Queen of the American Lakes

A playground for America’s wealthy families, Lake George was nicknamed "Queen of the American Lakes." While these families often stayed in private country houses, a tourism industry built up around them in the early 20th century facilitated by two YMCAs.
Explore Lake George's surroundings by going to Ticonderoga (The Hancock House, Star Trek Original Series Set Tour, &more), North Creek (Square Eddy Expeditions & North Creek Mosaic Project) and Natural Stone Bridge and Caves (in Pottersville). The adventure continues: take a memorable tour with Tours, see the interesting displays at House of Frankenstein Wax Museum, cool off at The Great Escape & Hurricane Harbor, and learn about winemaking at Adirondack Winery.
