The Municipality and Borough of Skagway is a first-class borough in Alaska on the Alaska Panhandle. Start off your visit on the 23rd (Mon): get engrossed in the history at Trail of '98 Museum, get engrossed in the history at Skagway Museum and Archives, then view the masterpieces at BearHead Photography Gallery, and finally contemplate the long history of Moore Cabin. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 24th (Tue): see what you can catch with a fishing tour and then steep yourself in history at Arctic Brotherhood Camp No. 1.

Getting from Fairbanks to Skagway by combination of flight and ferry takes about 10 hours. Other options: do a combination of flight and ferry; or drive; or take a bus. In August in Skagway, expect temperatures between 65°F during the day and 53°F at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 24th (Tue) early enough to catch the flight to Juneau.

Juneau — 2 nights

America's Largest Capital Area

Juneau is an unusual state capital in many respects.
