Juneau is an unusual state capital in many respects.
Step off the beaten path and head to Mount Roberts Trail and Perseverance National Recreation Trail. Take a break from the city and head to Dolphin & Whale Watching and Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center. The Municipality and Borough of Skagway is a first-class borough in Alaska on the Alaska Panhandle.
