Scottsdale is a city in the eastern part of Maricopa County, Arizona, adjacent to the Greater Phoenix Area. On the 12th (Thu), look for all kinds of wild species at Desert Botanical Garden, then take in the spiritual surroundings of First Christian Church, and then get to know the fascinating history of Lake Pleasant Regional Park. Keep things going the next day: examine the collection at Musical Instrument Museum, then identify plant and animal life at Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center, and then take in the exciting artwork at Elan Wollitzer Gallery.

Despite its relatively small size, Sedona overflows with tourist appeal.
Visit Chapel of the Holy Cross and Amitabha Stupa & Peace Park for their historical value. Get a sense of the local culture at Walnut Canyon National Monument and Exposures International Gallery of Fine Art. There's still lots to do: explore the striking landscape at Cathedral Rock, explore the stunning scenery at Oak Creek Canyon, admire all the interesting features of Red Rock Scenic Byway (SR 179), and stroll through Broken Arrow Trail.

Getting from Scottsdale to Sedona by car takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of flight and taxi; or take a bus. Traveling from Scottsdale in September, expect Sedona to be a bit cooler, temps between 85°F and 63°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 16th (Mon) early enough to go by car to Williams.

A tiny town with big tourist appeal, Williams lies on one of the first highways ever built in America, the iconic "Route 66." The town boasts many inns, motels, restaurants, and shops, although its most important feature is serving as the southern terminus of a scenic railway leading to the area's most famous tourist attraction, the World Heritage-listed Grand Canyon.
Get outdoors at Rim Trail and Grand Canyon South Rim. Explore Williams' surroundings by going to Grand Canyon National Park (South Kaibab Trail, Bright Angel Trail, & more).

You can drive from Sedona to Williams in 1.5 hours. Another option is to take a bus. In September, Williams is little chillier than Sedona - with highs of 74°F and lows of 47°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 20th (Fri) early enough to drive to Page.

Originally little more than a simple camp constructed to house workers who built a nearby dam on the Colorado River, Page is now a popular stop for travelers preparing a trip to Arizona's canyon country.
Get outdoors at Bright Angel Point and Photography Tours. Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Navajo Bridge and Old Cliff Dwellers Lodge (Blanche Russell Rock House). Step out of Page to go to Grand Canyon National Park and see Cape Royal, which is approximately 1h 30 min away. And it doesn't end there: take in breathtaking views at Antelope Canyon, enjoy some diversion at Gunfighter Canyon, surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour, and explore and take pictures at Horseshoe Bend.
