Austin
— 14 nights

Live Music Capital of the World
Despite its laid-back college vibe, Austin is an influential center for politics, technology, film, and music.Step out of the city life by going to Hamilton Pool Preserve and Longhorn Cavern State Park. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Pedernales Falls State Park and Jacob's Well Natural Area. Change things up with these side-trips from Austin: St. Mary's Church High Hill (in Schulenburg), Inks Lake State Park (in Burnet) and Kreische Brewery & Monument Hill State Historic Site (in La Grange). There's lots more to do: grab your bike and head to Barton Creek Greenbelt, explore the different monuments and memorials at Texas State Cemetery, Head underground at Inner Space Cavern, and explore the activities along Comal River.
