From its main thoroughfare, Boise greets visitors with a view of downtown framed by the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
Get outdoors at Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area and Morrison-Knudsen Nature Center. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to World Center For Birds of Prey and Boise Train Depot. Step out of Boise with an excursion to The Springs - A Mountain Hot Springs Retreat At Idaho City in Idaho City--about 54 minutes away. The adventure continues: explore the engaging exhibits at Discovery Center of Idaho, see the interesting displays at Warhawk Air Museum, immerse yourself in nature at Lucky Peak State Park, and get in on the family fun at Wahooz Family Fun Zone.
