The capital city of America's most economically significant state, Sacramento is an important stop for any politico.
Step off the beaten path and head to California State Railroad Museum and Crocker Art Museum. Do your shopping at Mumm Napa and Indian Springs Art Gallery. Get out of town with these interesting Sacramento side-trips: St. Helena (V. Explore hidden gems such as Carmel River State Beach and Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park. Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park and Pfeiffer State Beach.
