Known as a ski resort town, Aspen's history goes back to its roots as a silver-mining village tucked away in an isolated valley of the Rocky Mountains.
Step out of Aspen to go to Glenwood Springs and see Thermal Spas, which is approximately 56 minutes away. There's much more to do: stroll through Aspen Snowmass, walk around The John Denver Sanctuary, enjoy some music at Aspen Music Festival and School, and trek along Maroon Lake Scenic Trail.

Melbourne, Australia to Aspen is an approximately 22.5- hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and car; or do a combination of bus and flight. You'll gain 17 hours traveling from Melbourne to Aspen due to the time zone difference. In March, Aspen is much colder than Melbourne - with highs of 10°C and lows of -7°C. Originally built as a base for Vail Ski Resort, the town of Vail has blossomed into its own destination, but still has less than 6,000 permanent residents.
On the 21st (Sat), stroll through Beaver Creek Ski Area, then have some family-friendly fun at Vail Valley Escape Room, and then hit the slopes at Vail Mountain Resort. Here are some ideas for day two: hit the slopes at Copper Mountain and then make a trip to Main Street.

More than just a convenient resting place for travelers on their way to the national park encompassing the Front Range of the Rockies, Estes Park is a popular place to visit in its own right.
On the 23rd (Mon), relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas, then get a taste of the local shopping with Images of Rocky Mountain National Park, then shop like a local with The Studio Fine Art and Framing, and finally take a memorable tour with Tours. On the next day, take a pleasant ride with a tour on horseback, then explore and take pictures at Trail Ridge Road, and then explore and take pictures at Peak to Peak Scenic Byway.
