Originally built as a base for Vail Ski Resort, the town of Vail has blossomed into its own destination, but still has less than 6,000 permanent residents.
Kick off your visit on the 15th (Mon): let the river carry you with a rafting and tubing tour, take a memorable drive along Boreas Pass Road, and then indulge your thirst for a good beer at Broken Compass Brewery & Tap House.
