Big D

One of the country's most popular shopping destinations, Dallas and its sprawling suburbs include more shopping centers per capita than any other urban center in America.
Get out of town with these interesting Dallas side-trips: Fort Worth (Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District, Wat Buddharatnaram, &more), Waco (Waco Suspension Bridge, Magnolia Market Silos, &more) and North Richland Hills Centre (in North Richland Hills). Pack the 3rd (Sat) with family-friendly diversions at Six Flags Over Texas. There's still lots to do: take in nature's colorful creations at Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Gardens, see the interesting displays at Perot Museum of Nature and Science, walk around Klyde Warren Park, and appreciate the history behind Dealey Plaza National Historic Landmark District.
