Aptly nicknamed the "Mile-High City," Denver sits at an altitude of 1,600 m (5,280 ft) above sea level, located right where the Great Plains give way to the Rocky Mountains.
You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Molly Brown House Museum and History Colorado Center. Get outdoors at Evergreen Lake and Crown Hill Park. Step out of Denver with an excursion to Mother Cabrini Shrine in Golden--about 36 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: see the interesting displays at Colorado School of Mines Geology Museum, don't miss a visit to Larimer Square, explore the world behind art at Clyfford Still Museum, and identify plant and animal life at Dinosaur Ridge.
