Mile-High City

Aptly nicknamed the "Mile-High City," Denver sits at an altitude of 1,600 m (5,280 ft) above sea level, located right where the Great Plains give way to the Rocky Mountains.
Explore hidden gems such as Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey Tour and Manitou Springs Incline. Get in touch with nature at Arapahoe Basin and Frisco Adventure Park. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Denver: Rocky Mountain National Park (Emerald Lake Trail, Alberta Falls, &more), Colorado Springs (Glen Eyrie Castle & Penrose Heritage Museum) and Divide (Mueller State Park & Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center). There's still lots to do: contemplate the long history of Center for Colorado Women's History at the Byers-Evans House, identify plant and animal life at Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge, ski along the peaceful trails at Breckenridge Nordic Center, and relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas.

To find reviews, maps, and more tourist information, refer to the Denver tour website.

If you are flying in from Brazil, the closest major aiports are Denver International Airport and City of Colorado Springs Municipal Airport. In February, daytime highs in Denver are 8°C, while nighttime lows are -7°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 21st (Sun) early enough to travel back home.
