Denver

— 14 nights

Mile-High City

Aptly nicknamed the "Mile-High City," Denver sits at an altitude of 1,600 m (5,280 ft) above sea level, located right where the Great Plains give way to the Rocky Mountains.
Explore hidden gems such as Stranahan's Whiskey Distillery & Cocktail Bar and Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Get in touch with nature at Manitou Springs Incline and Loveland Ski Area. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Denver: Colorado Springs (Glen Eyrie Castle & Penrose Heritage Museum), Divide (Mueller State Park & Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center) and Rocky Mountain National Park (Emerald Lake Trail, Alberta Falls, &more). And it doesn't end there: fly down the slopes at Arapahoe Basin, see the interesting displays at Forney Museum of Transportation, ski along the peaceful trails at Breckenridge Nordic Center, and take a stroll through Historic Olde Town Arvada.

To find reviews, other places to visit, maps, and more tourist information, read Denver online driving holiday planner.

If you are flying in from Brazil, the closest major aiports are Denver International Airport and City of Colorado Springs Municipal Airport. In February in Denver, expect temperatures between 8°C during the day and -7°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Sun) to allow enough time to travel back home.
