Val d'Or, Canada to Syracuse is an approximately 15-hour flight. You can also drive. Traveling from Val d'Or in August, things will get a bit warmer in Syracuse: highs are around 32°C and lows about 18°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 18th (Fri) so you can drive to Ithaca.

Visiting Cascadilla Gorge Trail and Fillmore Glen State Park will get you outdoors. Get a sense of the local culture at Sciencenter and Woodlawn Cemetery of Elmira. Getting from Syracuse to Ithaca by car takes about 1.5 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. In August in Ithaca, expect temperatures between 30°C during the day and 15°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 21st (Mon) so you can go by car to Hammondsport.

Kick off your visit on the 22nd (Tue): immerse yourself in nature at Stony Brook State Park, admire the sheer force of Grimes Glen, and then stroll through Keuka Lake Outlet Trail. On the next day, get engrossed in the history at Finger Lakes Boating Museum, get curious at National Soaring Museum, and then relax in the rural setting at Sanctuary Farm.

In August, daily temperatures in Hammondsport can reach 30°C, while at night they dip to 18°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Wed) to allow enough time to drive to Rochester.
