Florida’s mecca of fun in the sun, the lively tropical metropolis of Miami is one of the world’s top vacation spots.
On the 5th (Fri), buy something for everyone on your list at Bayside Marketplace. Keep things going the next day: steep yourself in history at Barnacle State Historic Site, then visit Art Deco Historic District, then enjoy the sand and surf at South Beach, and finally wander the streets of Lincoln Road.

A vast expanse of pristine wetlands, Everglades National Park holds the distinction of being the largest tropical wilderness in the U.S.
On the 7th (Sun), explore the activities along Slough Slog and then look for all kinds of wild species at Shark Valley Visitor Center. On the 8th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: stroll through Anhinga Trail, then hike along Gumbo Limbo Trail, then steep yourself in history at Nike Missile Site HM-69, and finally look for all kinds of wild species at Nine Mile Pond Canoe Trail.
